Jack McLiney is passionate about sports, whether he is competing for his school in Varsity football, playing in the backyard, playing for his hometown league, or watching the professionals on TV.
Jack McLiney has played sports all his life. His favorite sports include varsity football, basketball, lacrosse, and skiing.
Football season is a particularly exciting time for Jack McLiney. There is nothing better than relaxing on the weekend eating wings and chili while watching the NFL on Sundays and college football on Saturdays. He also enjoys going out to the high school varsity football games on Friday nights. His favorite player of all time is Carolina Panthers quarterback, Cam Newton. Jack McLiney respects the way he plays the game and carries himself as an individual. Oftentimes, after scoring a touchdown, Cam will hand over the football to a young fan in the stands to share his love and joy for the game. Jack McLiney is also a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. For college teams, McLiney enjoys watching big names such as Alabama, Kansas, TCU, and Ole Miss.
After football season ends, Jack McLiney switches his attention over to the NBA. Jack is an avid follower of professional basketball. He follows teams such as the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers, though his all time favorite team is the San Antonio Spurs. From the Spurs, Jack McLiney loves watching Tim Duncan and Kawhi Leonard. His favorite player from the Golden State Warriors is Stephen Curry, named NBA Most Valuable Player of the year in 2015 after defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals. Although the Cavs have yet to take home a championship, Jack McLiney loves watching them to see some of the NBA’s greatest stars play including LeBron James and Kyrie Irving.
During the winter season, Jack McLiney loves going skiing. His favorite place to ski is Taos Ski Valley in Taos, New Mexico where there is always fresh powder, fun events and clear blue skies. McLiney grew up learning to ski on this mountain, starting on the beginner trails and challenging himself to make it up to the summit to explore the more difficult trails and adventurous terrain.
